The Apartamentos Cana Sofía are in Cala Llonga, a short walk from the nearby beaches and a quick drive to Ibiza Old Town. The property is surrounded by greenery on three sides, acting as a buffer to most noise.
The hotel has a modern yet basic feel, with neutral tones and sharp edges. The staff are incredibly friendly and supportive, and the rooms are kept immaculate.
You can get a basic apartment or dorm-style room with four or six beds (shared with others). It’s an excellent option for solo travellers and anyone travelling on a tight budget.
This hotel has excellent facilities, and a convenient and quiet location with no fuss, for a much lower price than most other accommodations in Ibiza.
Special mention:
Portinatx Beach Club Hotel
While pricier than Apartamentos Cana Sofía, not everyone wants to share, and some are looking for a budget (but not that budget). Here are a few of the main things that Portinatx Beach Club Hotel has over Apartamentos Cana Sofía:
- Private beach for hotel residents
- Spa area and wellness centre
- Multiple gardens/outdoor relaxation areas
- Adult-only option for Swimming Pool
The BEST luxury quiet hotel in Ibiza
Can Jaume Private Villas by Ocean Drive
Can Jaume Villas are in a uniquely convenient location. The resort is in Ibiza Town but wonderfully positioned just on the outskirts, with trees and grasslands surrounding the premises. This makes it close to the airport, town, and the beach, yet still offers a bohemian rural Ibiza feeling of tranquillity.
The rural retreat has a massive pool with comfy shaded lounge beds beside it and beautiful vegetation surrounding you. Nothing quite makes you feel like you’re in an oasis paradise like palm trees and greenery.
The Gorgeous rooms leave nothing to be desired. The décor is modern and classy, they often have a magnificent view of the garden and surrounding fields, and the finishing touch of slippers and a robe really make you feel pampered.
The BEST adults-only quiet hotel in Ibiza
Agroturismo Can Toni Xumeu – Adults Only
Agroturismo Can Toni Xumeu is located in Cala Llonga, surrounded by nature. If you are looking for attention to detail, discretion and luxury, this is where you’ll find it.
The rooms have a warm feel with wooden ceilings and accents, and the outdoor areas are serene, with comfortable seating and lounging beside the swimming pool.
This hotel is a couple of miles (4km) away from the beach (a twelve-minute drive) and provides a car rental service at the resort.
The BEST quiet hotel in Portinatx
Hostal La Cigüeña
Hostal La Cigüeña is right on the beachfront of a cosey bay. Terraces overlook the ocean, and walking to the beach takes a minute or less. They even provide bicycles to use for free for those who’s like to explore the area.
The hotel is close to adventure activities like jet skiing, and there are quite a few restaurants nearby, but still far away from the party scene.
The building is homey, with arched doorways and warm tones throughout. The standards are high. Wheelchair users should be aware that there are lots of stairs.
The BEST quiet hotel in Cala Llonga
Apart from the fantastic hotels already mentioned, unfortunately, the four leading contenders that tick all the boxes are all a few kilometres away from Cala Llonga. Here they are:
Suite Hotel S’Argamassa Palace
Suite Hotel S’Argamassa Palace is a classy hotel located Between Cala Llonga and Cala Llenya, a 15-minute drive (8.7km) from Cala Llonga.
It is within walking distance of the beach with spectacular views of the coastline surrounded by a stunning pine forest.
This is a hotel with great design choices and excellent service. Palm trees and greenery are dotted around the outdoor areas, and the architecture of the building itself is beautiful. Strategically placed lighting and furniture, as well as the décor, give the entire hotel a sophisticated feel, and the staff are readily helpful and friendly.
Special mentions:
Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa – 7 minutes away [4.6km] from Cala Llonga.
Invisa Hotel La Cala – 10 minutes [5.7km] away from Cala Llonga.
ME Ibiza – 16 minutes [9.4km] away from Cala Llonga.
The BEST quiet hotel in Port de Sant Miguel
Ca Na Xica – Hotel & Spa
Ca Na Xica is situated in the countryside near Port de Sant Miguel. The hotel has one main building with private fincas surrounding it. Once a big country estate, the luxury resort now offers full suites, complete with their own roof terrace and private balcony looking out onto the gardens and pool. The décor is tasteful, and the design is well thought out.
The beach is three (3) kilometres away, just far enough to have peace but close enough to have easy access. They also offer bicycle hire for those who like to exercise whilst exploring. This hotel stands out for its particularly friendly staff and excellent restaurant.
Special mentions:
Hacienda Na Xamena – 8 minutes away [3.2km] from Port de Sant Miguel.
Hotel Rural Cas Pla – 5 minutes away [2.1km] from Port de Sant Miguel.
The BEST quiet hotel in Sant Josep
Boutique Hotel Jardines de Palerm
Boutique Hotel Jardines de Palerm is precisely as its name suggests. It is one of the island’s best boutique hotels tucked away in the countryside on the outskirts of San Jose. The hotel has a peaceful aura with foliage everywhere, making you feel secluded in the setting of a tranquil escape.
The hotel has a massive forest on one side where guests can find scenic walking trails, and the beach is about five (5) kilometres away.
The unique thing about this hotel is that it feels like a haven where you can rest and recuperate from the stress of life in a bubble of paradise.
Special mention:
Hotel Occidental – 8 minutes away [5.6km] form Port de Sant Miguel.
The BEST quiet hotel in Cala d’Hort
Petunia Ibiza – Adults Only
There aren’t many hotels right in the heart of Cala d’Hort, but Petunia Ibiza is nearby Cala d’Hort, and there is a supermarket only eight hundred meters away.
Petunia Ibiza differs from many other hotels we’ve looked at. It has some personality, with wooden furniture, pops of colour, and carefully chosen design and décor. There is a high degree and attention to detail, and they also have outstanding service. The resort is just a seven-minute walk to the beach.
Things to consider before booking your hotel
Before spending considerable money on a trip to Ibiza, consider the following.
Peak season, high season and the low season
Prices will invariably be highest from June through the end of August. This is when Ibiza is in its peak tourist season, and property owners charge in line with demand. Consider booking outside of peak and high season if you’d like a better deal. Early May and late October are still great weather-wise and offer better value for money.
Nearest conveniences
Finding out you have booked a hotel in rural Ibiza once you have arrived isn’t exactly ideal. Sure, you can still get around, but you would rather have a car or be close enough to other conveniences to limit your time on the roads.
How do we decide the best?
Knowing the island well is key to making sound recommendations. Here are all the qualities we look for when choosing the best for this list.
Price
The best, in some cases, is not always the most expensive! We look for value for money, and a beautiful hotel stay doesn’t need to cost a fortune. This list includes a wide variety of booking prices; even the expensive ones are reasonable. Rest assured, all of these options are great choices.
Location
Having relaxed surroundings factors into these recommendations. Many of the properties are fairly secluded for those seeking silence. Additionally, there should be a good selection of extra activities on offer on the property or nearby. Think wellness for rest & relaxation, beach clubs and quality restaurants.
Amenities
Do the properties go above and beyond to cater to all guests? We look at whether there are things like barriers around roof terraces and wheelchair access. Are the pathways around the gardens well kept and clear. In addition, there should be air conditioning and of course, a fantastic swimming pool.
Final Thoughts
Ibiza has so much more to offer than partying and clubs. I hope this list has helped you narrow down where to find a healer instead of a dealer.
However, if you are still not convinced by the specific accommodations I chose. Then take a look at where to stay in Ibiza away from the clubs for more guidance on the quiet areas of Ibiza.
