Techno, Electronic, Experimental
Essaouira, Morocco

The picturesque fishing port of Essaouira on Morocco’s Atlantic coast forms the backdrop for MOGA festival. Expect an infusion of Gnawa music with electronic beats that culminate into driving hypnotic melodies.

The musical program has been thoughtfully curated and you are bound to enjoy at least one set from an artist you’ve never heard of before.

Festivals in Morocco have strong tendencies of promoting wellness in their programming in order to attract international travellers. The same applies to Moga with daily yoga and Moroccan cuisine workshops.

The Moga Festival Venue

The Sofitel Mogador is a lush venue that provides a relaxed upmarket environment in which to mingle. While Essaouria is only a short drive with ample day-trip opportunity like visiting a filming location for Game Of Thrones.

National travel is easily accessible, with plenty of options available to you. Domestic flights are also readily available and recommended for longer distances. In major cities, consider taxis over car rentals due to the high levels of traffic intensity.

Essaouira-Mogador airport is around 10 miles from the city centre, you can fly there directly from London-Luton and Paris-Orly. Alternatively, Marrakech airport is a 3-hour bus journey from the city, and can be reached from cities across Europe and the world.

Moga Festival does allow minors to enter the site, however they must be provided with an identity document in case of control. Remember that the sale of alcohol is prohibited to minors. After parties are prohibited for minors.
