The Return To The Source Venue
Lying just outside of the Tankwa Karoo National Park in the deserthe is the home of RTTS. The Stonehenge Nature Reserve is an idyllic backdrop for a boutique festival to take place. And the organisers do a fine job of infusing these surroundings into the programming.
By day you can expect lazy beats to lull you into submission whilst exploring the tranquillity of vast open surroundings. The evening’s musical curation will lure you under the mesmerising laser show from the central DJ booth before witnessing the biblical Karoo sunrise each morning.
On-site accommodation is available in the form of camping, glamping and rustic cottages.
From Cape Town city you can take the N1 to Worcester. Then turn towards Michell’s Pass/R43, R46 and R355 past the Inverdoorn Nature Reserve. Continue along the R355 until you reach Lande Doorn Pitstop. The venue is just a little further down the road from there. Total distance is 298km.
If you are coming from outside of South Africa then your most direct option is to fly into Cape Town International airport which has plenty of daily flights from Europe and the UK.
The other is to fly into Johannesburg International airport (O.R.Thambo) and catch a connecting flight to Cape Town. Johannesburg is the busiest airport and also the most well connected in South Africa.
